Someone help me out here is this correct? I am doing an auto loan. I owe $7924 on my trade. They are gonna give me $5000 for it and add the $2924 on top of the new vehicle. New vehicle price is $10995. Is this how the math will work or am I doing this all wrong? 10995 new car - 5000 trade ___________ 5995 new balance + 2924 negative equity ___________ 8919 new balance then they will add in interest, tax, title and other fees? I am confused but I hope that is how it will go...someone help out and if its wrong, lead me in the right direction on this?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia few years ago while working with special ed children. I was having COBRA and then CalCOBRA insurance through Kaiser that I was paying by myself. My CalCOBRA expires on March 31st, 2012 and they do not want to extend it and also Kaiser insurance, although I am their member since 1994, does not want to offer me an Individual option health plan because the fibromyalgia is considered as a preexisting condition and other health insurances do not want to accept because of that too. So a friend of mine is letting me borrow his car for three months. now the problem is insurance. We dont know what to do. He has full coverage insurance with statefarm but said that he cant simply add my name to the insurance because if i get into an accident and get sued, his parents (who the car is registered too) will have to pay for the liability. what i'm confused about is if he has full coverage, and my name is under their insurance, wouldnt the insurance company pay for it and not his parents? His suggestion says that the only way i can borrow the car and cover all liability and contingencies is if he transfers (or 'sells') the car to my mom, so the car can be registered under MY parents name rather than his, so in the case of being sued, my parents would have to pay for the damages. what to do!?!? It is asking for number of people in household, do I just put one for myself or am I supposed to write all family members even though it is for an individual plan? My friend put a friend of hers who was just diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in touch with me today, but I really don't know how to help her. She's 21, fresh out of college but unemployed, and does not have insurance. I don't know why she wasn't still on her parents' plan, or how student healthcare insurance works. She's terrified not just about the diagnosis itself but the cost. She was already financially strapped and trying to figure out how to pay for housing after college. I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 16-17, but my parents have insurance, and they are the ones who handled the bills. I never paid for anything myself so I really don't know about the cost involved. I saw one bill for my radiation and was literally shocked-still by the amount. It was like $1500 for each treatment I think, and I was getting them Monday-Friday then. Chemo was much more, but I never saw a bill for it so I really don't know the price. I did see a bill for one night I spent in the emergency room when I had this awful infection and a terrible fever, and without insurance that one night would have been over $7000! With insurance I think it was like $2400. All of my treatments and doctor's offices are in posh medical facilities in affluent parts of Los Angeles like Beverly Hills and Westwood / Bel Air, so perhaps that's why my medical care was so much. I honestly don't know. I wish I knew how to support or advise this girl. She's too old to attend the support group I went to, and I don't really know that much about NH-L because it's quite different than HL. I was fortunate to never have to be concerned about the finances, and I don't even know what the total amounted to since my parents won't tell me. They said, that it's not my concern. It was all medical care for me, so you'd think it would be my concern, but whatever. Will her oncologist's office help her to find financial support? How does that even work? What do they do if you can't pay? It would suck if she had to file bankruptcy this early in her life. Won't that keep her from getting a job, a loan for a house, and everything else? She went to USC. Can recent alumni be treated at their hospital for a reduced price? I was treated at UCLA, and I think at UCLA students can get medical care at a reduced cost. At my school I think we can as well. I don't know. You just show your student card. All bills are sent to your parents, so I don't know how it works. What should I tell her? She wants my help. All I really know to do is to send her the links I have on my profile. I can give her emotional support, but am clueless about financial support. What's the total cost of this going to most likely be for her?

yes i went to three different insurance agencys to see what quotes theyll give me. one say said ill pay 50 a month and 140 down payment for access auto insurance . the other agency said ill pay 60 a month and 90 down payment for the same company. and the third agency said i would probably not qualify for access auto insuranc. im 20 year old male riverside ca 94 accord. why would three different agencys quote diferently for the same auto company ? whyyy is it a scam

Ok here's the deal, im 18 yrs old and i currently financed a vehicle with the assistance of my mom. I agreed to pay for the car and most of the insurance. I financed the car with the plan of paying only general liability car insurance. After signing the car from the used car dealer, it came to my knowledge that i will have to get FULL coverage auto insurance. The reason behind this is because i need to protect the auto loan that i got to finance the vechicle. It is impossible for me to pay for full coverage of this vehicle as i called for a qoute and learned that i would have to pay an insane 300-400 a month. I dont know what to do, im going back to the dealer to explain the situation and hope he will be willing to get the car back. If the dealer wont agree to get it back, what are my options? Can i sell the car privately and pay off the loan with the money i get from selling it? My goal is to just buy a really cheap car straight up and only pay for general liability insurance. Help!
